The CWM Team
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. And let's face it, the financial world is filled with big words and complicated concepts, which can stop you from really understanding what is going on.
When you need guidance, you need it from someone who gets it. More importantly, you want someone who really gets YOU! Your values and goals have to be at the forefront of any financial decision.
By bringing these cornerstones to every conversation, we know you will experience a shift in your relationship to money and get closer to living a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Our first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. And we know all about family.
It was 31 years ago that Dr. Lamar Barden was a Southern Baptist minister. Yep, that is right. But throughout his ministry he started to notice that so many of the challenges people within his congregation were due to money woes. After authoring a book on taxation for ministers and clergy and spending years counseling individuals and couples about money, he decided to change the way he ministered. He knew that if he built a firm that would provide the right financial guidance, it would not only lead to better money skills but to a healthier sense of self. Thus, a family firm was born.
Now, both of his kids are involved.
His daughter, Ande Frazier CFP®, CLU, ChFC, RICP, BFA™, ChSNC, CDFA® entered into the financial industry right out of college. Having spent the last 25+ years (she swears she was 10 when she started), Ande has done it all including running a multi-million dollar fin-tech company and most recently serving as CEO, Editor in Chief of a media company focused on women. After spending years in other aspects of the industry, Ande felt it was time to get back to what matters, which was working with people directly in private practice.
Norman Barden, Lamar’s son, took his masters in constructional engineering and all he knows about running a company and brought it to the firm to help run operations and help clients with their insurance needs. He is very active in the community, serving in leadership roles within both his church and lodge.
Carolyn, Lamar's wife and Mama to Ande and Norman, manages the office and keeps everyone on time for all their meetings. She continues to minister to others through her mailings and outreach.
As a family owned and operated financial firm, we're dedicated to helping you build, protect and preserve your wealth. Whether you are just starting out or are getting ready to enjoy the fruits of your hard work, we are here for you.
